It's press-molded from pieces of black and white marbled clay. It has a transparent amber-lime colored crackle glaze inside. Holds about 8 ounces.
The clay pattern that wraps around the outside of the cup has little cracks and bumps that give the work texture and character. The cracks become emphasized when I sandblast the outside of the cups, which is done to reveal hidden details in the clay- like the little black and white speckles embedded in the surface, for example.
Each of the cups are unique and initialed on the bottom.
